Are disabled veterans eligible for free TSA PreCheck enrollment or renewal?

The Veterans Expedited TSA Screening (VETS) Safe Travel Act provides free TSA PreCheck enrollment to veterans with qualifying service-connected disabilities. Veterans whom the Department of Veterans Affairs has determined to have a severe service-connected disability that qualify will have an TSA PreCheck Application Fee Wavier Letter in their online VA.gov account. Eligible customers must email their TSA PreCheck Application Fee Waiver Letter to tsaenrollmentbyidemia@ps-idemia.com. Be sure to include “VETS Safe” in the email subject line. A code will then be provided for free TSA PreCheck enrollment or renewal. Contact the VA for questions around eligibility. TSA and IDEMIA cannot verify eligibility.
